Hotel Helmerhof Restaurant in Schwangau

The food was very good! However (personal feeling) it was unfortunately a very small portion for the estimated price.

We were with 6 people. for 3 days in the house .... our unanimous opinion - ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED .. !!!! The (not "played") but honest friendliness of the staff is to be highlighted here, and worth at least 6 stars .. !!!! The breakfast was plentiful and always well filled In the afternoon the very delicious cakes / pies are recommended, ... and for dinner, - big praise to the kitchen ... the cook knows his craft to the best ... The rooms are spacious and clean, ... the only very small "flaw", Since our room was on the upper floor, there was a little water pressure missing when showering, so the cold / warm setting was a bit more difficult, but that didn't get in the way of our GREAT rating ...! ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED.

I always find it wonderful here. The staff is super friendly. The location is great and I have to say you implemented the corona concept very well. P.S The food tastes as it always does.

We were warmly welcomed and so it was until our departure. The breakfast left nothing to be desired. The cleaning of the rooms was particularly good again, a big compliment. The swimming pool was very big. Would come back again and again.

Lovely place, the room was great, comfortable and clean. Super friendly and clear staff. The best thing ever was the breakfast. Rich, it varies with typical and non-typical products. It suits all tastes. Highly recommended

Very well prepared and extremely well presented dishes were served in a cozy country house ambience by attentive and friendly service. The hygiene concept also appeared coherent and trustworthy; All in all, a successful evening - even in Corona times!

A fantastic place to stay. Rooms in excellent condition. The staff are friendly and attentive. Even in the current situation, the stay runs without problems or other inconveniences. Our two stays were perfect! The hotel is quietly located in the countryside and has enough parking spaces, even for larger cars. We'll be back soon.

This is our 3rd time here as a family. My parents have probably been here 6 times. We love coming here because we get out of the car and feel like we're at home. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the food is excellent. The rooms are modern and very clean. Thank you family Helmer and see you next year.

That's how it should be! It has to be like that! Super friendly service! Beautiful rooms! 1A clean! Great breakfast! Great location! Great view of the countryside! A bit high in price - but if you want something good, you have to dig deeper into your pocket! Definitely book here! Nobody will regret that. This was my first but not the last time.

Here you can only feel good - pure relaxation! We stayed at the hotel as a family (4 people) and had an apartment and a double room with a great view of the mountains. The hotel was super clean, the food was delicious, the service was perfect, the front desk could help out at any time. The hotel is located in the Horn district, is in a quiet location, there are enough parking spaces. The hotel is family-run and you could just feel comfortable there. Füssen and Schwangau can be reached quickly. If we should go on vacation in the Allgäu again, we will definitely check into the hotel again. We can recommend the hotel at any time.

A beautiful place with nice view,very calm clean and friendly staff

We spent a wonderful week here. The rooms (in the main building) are contemporary and leave nothing to be desired. The service is very good throughout the hotel, we have rarely felt so welcome so quickly. Particularly noteworthy is the service in the restaurant - fast and attentive, special guest requests are gladly met.

We ate here 3 times and were completely satisfied every time. Food great and the staff very nice. We'd love to come back.

Go here regularly to eat. Very nice service followed by perfectly prepared home-style food! The price-performance ratio is unbeatable! The only drawback is the rush, which makes a reservation necessary!

Nice personel Price a bit excessive, 296 € for 2 nights 3-star accommodation including breakfast must be due to the area. Room and hotel very winding. Our room had a great view of the mountains. Our room was extremely warm with open windows impossible to sleep, everything is just too loud and noisy. In my opinion everything was clean and neat as far as it is possible with all the wood. The glass shower doors crash against the sink and toilet when you come out of the shower. On the whole, I can recommend this accommodation with a clear conscience.

We had a wonderful stay at the Helmerhof and always felt in good hands. The hygiene measures were excellent, so that we never felt unsafe.

The waitress's attitude is super bad. Very disappointed at the restaurant!

Very tasty food, super nice service for the children. The children got a painting set for the waiting time, we got a nice place in the restaurant without a reservation. The prices are perfectly okay, the portions well-proportioned. Highly recommended, we would love to come back again!

Cooking is very good here, and the service staff was attentive and quick. Very well trained staff and impeccable organization. Furnishing was also very appealing and valuable. Price level for what is offered is absolutely justified and very surprising for this location that such a great quality is offered. I will stop here more often on occasion and will recommend it. A prime example of fine dining and proof that trained staff makes the difference.

Fiendly staff, cozy surroundigs, vast coffees and good food.

Helmerhof is always an enjoyable place to eat dinner or just have cake and coffee. The food is excellent and the service very friendly. You have a beautiful view of the mountains from the winter garden.

Best steak I have eaten in a long time. Local dishes using local produce. Friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

Nice food, but if you're not a guest staying at this hotel you are not made to feel welcome. The staff are very abrupt and even when my husband spoke in German they made out they couldn't understand him. Very rude. We will not be returning.

We was at restaurant only and it was nice. Local food (Bavarian) nice stuff. Really recommend to eat, drink and may be stay.

Visited the restaurant. Pretty place. They offer a great food for a reasonable price. They have a big parking.

Helpful staff can speak German or English, wonderful meal, couldn't fault anything. Help yourself salad and an excellent menu, what is not to like! The chicken breast with vegetable rice did not disappoint, my husband had the pork medallions with mushroom sauce and real homemade chips, he wooffed the lot. We have made another reservation, what else could recommend?

Staff was very friendly, spa area was very relaxing. A great breakfast was included. We arrived around 3pm on a Sunday and kitchen was closed until 530. so finding something to eat was difficult. They did have coffee, cake and pastries even when kitchen was closed though.

Friendly hotel with large rooms at a reasonable price. Perfectly situated with our rooms overlooking the castles. Very good breakfast and restaurant.

Sweet service to people

Really enjoyed our stay here. We came with our toddler son and our room was quite spacious for the three of us. They had set up our cot with sheets and a pillow for him - plus chocolate on his pillow. He was delighted! We also loved that there was a yard with a swing set for him to play Room and facilities are really clean. Views are lovely. Breakfast is fresh and plentiful. The restaurant is really really good - best meals we had in Germany. Location is fantastic for seeing the castles as well as exploring the area. This is a great place to stay for those who want to be a bit more rural - we were so glad we hadn't booked in Fussen when we got here. Loved how close it was to the lake which has a gorgeous path to walk. They also have bicycles which we would have loved to use but the weather was not cooperating. Great stay!
